Cactus Companies, LLC was established in 1984 in Marble Falls , Texas by Grant Dean . His vision was to provide Central Texas residents with a beautiful custom home built or remodeled to reflect their own personal style.

Many of our lake communities have beautiful homes built in the 60's, 70's and 80's, land cost has risen to the point that families are opting to remodel their existing homes rather than buy or build new. The Cactus Team is ready to assist these home owners with updating, remodeling or home additions. - Patti Cohen

Cactus Companies has gained a reputation of providing excellent quality, service, reliability and value with every custom home.

In 1992 Cactus Companies began its commercial construction service to the Central Texas area, offering the same fine quality, value and reliability to the commercial industry. Russo's Restaurant , the Highlander Newspaper Building and numerous apartments & condominiums in Central Texas are prime examples of the innovative craftsmanship offered by Cactus Companies. The Trinity Episcopal Church in Marble Falls , was a large renovation project by Cactus Companies, and has joined the list of many completed showpiece projects. Grant is working with the Marble Falls ' downtown rejuvenation/development group to bring new business and renovation to some of the older buildings on Main Street in Marble Falls . Renovation Main Street is to bring life and enjoyment along with a flair of the culture and history of the Highland Lakes Area full circle.

Cactus Companies, LLC has been a member of the Texas Capital Area Builders Association and is currently a member of the National Association of Home Builders for over 10 years. The “1999 Burnet County Builder of the Year” award was presented to Cactus Companies along with many other awards and recognitions over the past 26 years.

Grant works with his son, Travis Dean , President of AAA -A Better Built Fence Company, a member of the Cactus Companies Group. Travis Graduated from Texas State University in 2005 with a degree in Industrial Technology, specializing in construction technology. He joined the company to head up the fencing division and works closely with his father on large projects to ensure the same quality of job that customers are accustomed to with every fence and entrance he constructs. Other members of the Cactus Team are, Debbie Olfers, office manager, she works in the office at Cactus Companies handling payroll, insurance and answering the phones.

We are working on several new developments and we will be making announcements as soon as we have all the details ready to share. We look forward to working with many of our old clients as they build or remodel and we certainly look forward to working with new clients as we expand our company to meet the ever increasing needs of the fine people of The Highland Lakes .
